This Penelope Estate 11 Year Selection was hand-selected earlier this year at MGP, and it is another excellent example of why the Penelope brand continues to impress.
Although the bottle says 10 Year, this was actually one of the 11 year barrels we were able to hand select, drill, and bring back as a Southern Spirits selection. Now it is finally here, bottled, and absolutely delicious.
At 108 proof, this barrel delivers a beautiful balance of richness, age, and drinkability. It brings big dark red fruit up front, followed by warm baking spice, soft oak, and a long, elegant finish that keeps building after each sip.
This is a flavorful, mature, and polished Penelope selection with the depth you want from an 11 year barrel while still staying approachable and easy to enjoy.
