Bardstown Bourbon Company Lochs of Jura Barrel Finish is a bold meeting point between Kentucky whiskey and Scotland’s remote Isle of Jura.
This limited release begins with a bespoke blend of straight bourbon and rye whiskey, then spends an additional 32 months finishing in Scotch whisky casks sourced from the Isle of Jura. Those casks previously held single malt Scotch whisky and include both ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks, giving this bottle a layered profile with American whiskey richness and subtle Scotch-style complexity.
At 104 proof, Lochs of Jura brings a beautifully balanced pour with notes of vanilla crème, blackberry compote, toasted oak, spearmint, caramel, cinnamon spice, soft malt, and ripe fruit.
It is familiar enough for bourbon drinkers, but unique enough to feel like something different — a great bottle for anyone who enjoys finished whiskey with depth, texture, and a story behind it.
