This Wathen’s Cask Strength Single Barrel “Caramel Rocket Ship” is another incredible selection from Keith, and one that comes with quite the story!
Over the years, Keith has been fortunate enough to select several outstanding Wathen’s barrels. Unfortunately, one of those barrels was lost in a tragic vehicle accident, but thanks to Sam Medley, we were given the opportunity to select a replacement — and this one is absolutely fantastic.
Sam knows Keith’s palate so well that he personally pre-selects samples based on the profiles we love at Southern Spirits. This barrel is another perfect example of that relationship and the exceptional whiskey it continues to produce.
We named this selection “Caramel Rocket Ship” because it delivers an incredible blast of rich caramel from the very first sip, beautifully balanced by toasted oak, warm baking spices, and classic bourbon depth.
Bottled at cask strength, this bourbon offers big flavor, rich character, and a beautiful balance between sweetness and spice. It is an absolute must-have for bourbon enthusiasts and a fantastic gift for the whiskey lover in your life.
