Introducing our James E. Pepper Decanter Single Barrel selection, nicknamed “Cast Iron Caramel.” This barrel showcases everything we love about Pepper — bold flavor, rich sweetness, and classic Kentucky character.
On the nose, you’ll find inviting aromas of dark caramel and toasted sugar, followed by a palate loaded with rich caramelized sweetness, warm baking spice, and subtle oak. The name “Cast Iron Caramel” comes from that deep, slightly toasted sugar note — reminiscent of caramel slowly cooking in a hot cast iron skillet.
